Recently, I was asked to appraise for sale a property in an area I have never been before. It was in a place called Bearna, on the Glengarriff to Adrigole Road. Off I went armed with my scribbled instructions on how to get there. On these visits, you do not really know what to expect. However, it is always nice to be pleasantly surprised which I was on this occasion, as this property called ‘The Moorings’ is in such an idyllic setting that if you asked someone to visualise a holiday home location in West Cork, this property I think would come close.
Although it is not without its draw backs, in that the house needs some ‘TLC’ and it is located at the end of a narrow windy road but when you get there, what a view.
However, what attracted me was it adjoins a really private beach, even though it is not part of the property i could not see any other access to it and with its own natural lagoon to swim in, it is such a find!
